The Lodi Arts Commission respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it at all times. This Internet Privacy Statement explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information on this Web site.
Also, note that we link to numerous other sites. Please consult those sites to learn more about their policies. LAC assumes no responsibility for the data and information practices of those sites.
Gathering and Use of Information
The LAC does not collect personally identifiable information from our visitors other than what is supplied to us on a voluntary basis (such as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, and/or other identifying information) when you e-mail us or respond to surveys, for example. Cookies, which we do collect, do not contain personally identifiable information.
As a visitor to the LodiArts.org web site, you may be requested to supply certain personally identifiable information in order to participate in some activities. These include registering for arts classes. You may also be asked to provide information to subscribe to special services.
To reduce the risk of unauthorized viewing of your personally identifiable information, the amount and type of information we transmit to your browser when at our web site and using our applications is limited. In addition, our software instructs your browser not to store or record any of this information locally on your hard drive. This reduces the risk of any unauthorized viewing of personally identifiable information.
You should recognize that under certain circumstances, if you choose not to voluntarily submit requested information, you may not be eligible for certain activities—such as on-line class registration—for which personally identifiable information is needed.
E-mail Addresses and E-mail Mailing Lists
The LAC maintains a visitor database with e-mail addresses of visitors who have e-mailed us. We may use these addresses to send our visitors information about LAC programs, services or membership. The e-mail mailing lists are for the sole use of the Lodi Arts Commission, the Lodi Arts Project Fund and the City ofLodi's Division of Arts & Culture. We do not sell, exchange or lend out our e-mail lists to outside companies, organizations or individuals. You can have your e-mail address removed from our e-mail list at any time by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cookies and Browsers
A "cookie" on the Web is a file that is used by the browser to maintain information about the computing session. This information is only stored on the users computer and would be used for such things as maintaining a unique number assigned by a web site to a user's visit to that site. In general, cookies are used to customize a user's experience, count how many people visit a site and track which pages on a site receive visits. A non-electronic analogy: a customer at a bakery shop takes a number to wait for his/her turn in line. Even though a number is assigned, the shopkeeper doesn't know anything about the customer.
When visiting any web site, your browser sends information to the site's hosting server identifying the browser you're using, your Internet Service Provider (ISP), the page you last visited, and the page you're currently visiting. Your browser does not, however, send any personally identifying information to web sites unless you explicitly provide that information via a form. Thus, we cannot extract any personally identifying information about you from what we receive via your browser.
We operate secure data networks guarded by both an industry standard firewall and password protection. We have security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your user data under our control.
Only certain employees have access to the information you provide us. For example, we impose strict rules on our employees who have access either to the databases that store user information or to the servers that host our services. While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration to data will not occur, we try to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.
Thank you for visiting LodiArts.org.
