​Lodi Arts Commission

To encourage and promote the arts, and help them inspire the people of Lodi, our City Council established the Lodi Arts Commission. Its mission: To advance the arts in Lodi by partnering with the entire community to provide quality programs and events that foster creative expression.

How does it work? The Arts Commission evaluates artistic and cultural proposals then makes recommendations to the Lodi City Council and to Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Services. When the city awards a grant to fund an artistic or cultural project, the Arts Commission also assists the city with the grant administration.

The mayor of Lodi appoints nine volunteers to serve a three-year term on the Arts Commission. Terms run from July 1 through June 30. The Lodi Arts Commission and Arts Foundation are actively seeking volunteers to help further arts initiatives in Lodi. Click on the *Just In* page, above,

Arts Commissioners meet at noon on the second Wednesday of each month. If you'd like to attend any of the meetings, they are open to the public. Come and see how the arts are blossoming in Lodi:
