Lodi Arts Project Fund

The Lodi Arts Project Fund (LAPF) was created by the Lodi Arts Foundation, a non-profit entity separate from the Arts Commission and the City of Lodi.  Its purpose is to provide financial support and management for many of the events and programs produced by the Lodi Arts Commission.

Where Your Money Goes

The money raised by the LAPF goes directly to fund programs and events produced by the Lodi Arts Commission.  The First Friday Art Hop, Smooth Jazz Concert Series and Art on the Square are just a few of the events that would not be possible without the support of the LAPF.

Many of the programs that the Arts Commission offers to the community could not stand on ticket sales alone.  Your tax-deductible donations to the LAPF are essential for maintaining and expanding art programs and opportunities for the Lodi community.  The Arts Commission is committed to providing the highest quality of programs, productions and performances at reasonable prices so that all may attend.

The LAPF also provides merit and low-income scholarships to students 18 years and younger for art, music and dance classes offered through the Division of Arts and Culture at Hutchins Street Square.  Last year scholarships totaled over $2200.00.

Currently, the LAPF is sponsoring a major fundraising campaign for the purpose of renovating the old auto shop into a hard arts studio.  Proposed classes for the new space include ceramics, glass blowing, stained glass and metal arts, including welding.  Funds for this project are raised through the annual Christmas Greens event held the first weekend in December.  The first annual Christmas Greens dinner, dance and decorated tree auction in 2007 raised $10,000.  For more information contact the Arts/Events Coordinator at dbridewell@lodi.gov.

It is the mission of the LAPF to provide financial assistance to the Arts Commission so that they can continue to create a vibrant and diverse arts culture in the Lodi community.  Thank you for your continued support.
